Thank you to the following investor for funding this grant.
Hillsborough Education Foundation - $1,290.00
The goal of this project is to increase the attendance of 3rd graders at Thompson Elementary School. Attendance is one of the factors affecting student’s performance. This project aims to motivate the students to come to school by getting a reward.
School-Wide, Grade-Level, Or Class Events/Programs - Parent Nights, Honor Roll Celebrations, EOY Events, etc.
If students come to school everyday, there is no chance that they cant grasp any learning. If student comes to school regularly, his/her can improve his/her performance and skills in the class. We would like to have a “treat cart” for the entire 3rd graders. Those kids that didn’t have any absent in three weeks will pick and get a treat from the cart, the cart will be available for the entire school year and will have treats!
Once tracking of attendance will be successful in our grade level this year then I can maybe do it as school wide next school year. I wanted to start it in small group to test myself how can I run the program up to my extent.
The expected outcome is an increase with attendance at the same time improve their scores academically by coming to school regularly.
$1290. It includes snacks, toys and other party stuff that teachers can schedule for every 3 weeks. There will be a pizza party and attendees will be students in school straight for 3 week period. The beneficiaries will be the entire 3rd graders that will be earning it through attendance.
