The goal of this project is to to engage, enhance, and enrich literacy instruction in my classroom by incorporating a monthly magazine subscription to Scholastic Storyworks. By engaging readers at all levels, I expect to see in increase in reading interest which will result in measurable growth in student reading data.
Learning Aids - Sunshine state book sets, robotics kits, puzzle boards, science models, engineering supplies, etc.
This project will benefit students in many ways. First and foremost students will be exposed to a wide variety of text that is highly relevant and engaging. Students look forward to getting these magazines in their hands each month. Building a passion for reading is essential to reading success. With that excitement, comes meaningful learning. The options to adjust the text level and level of support provided through the lessons, gives every reader the opportunity for success.

By incorporating texts and lessons provided through Storyworks, I expect to see an increase in engagement in reading. Which will then translate to seeing tangible data on state progress monitoring assessments. My expectation is that every student demonstrate growth towards reading proficiency.
This cost includes a one year subscription for each student in my class. Students will receive their own magazine monthly, along with many teaching tools and resources. This cost also includes shipping and handling.
