Based on our project goals:
Conduct pre- and post-tests to assess students’ knowledge before and after the gardening lessons.
Evaluate students’ ability to apply concepts through projects like creating a plant growth journal or designing a sustainable garden plan and track student involvement in garden activities.
Use gardening scenarios to create math problems (e.g., calculating area for planting, measuring growth rates) and teacher will observe and provide feedback on students’ problem-solving processes during gardening activities. Lastly, collect data on students’ eating habits before and after the project.
The Culinary Class and Club Garden Project will provide valuable educational experiences, promote healthy living, and foster a sense of community among students. With your support, we can create a thriving garden that will benefit our students and the broader school community.
