How Project Benefits Students

The opportunity to see a live Broadway show in New York City will inspire students to reach their highest potential as it relates to their musical performance. It also teaches students the value of working hard towards their goals and aspirations.

Being in New York City, performing in Carnegie Hall, and seeing a Broadway show is a life-long dream for many of my students. As a Title I school, most of them do not get the opportunity to view live musical performances or even travel far outside of the state for the purpose of experiencing new areas or cultures. By seeing a Broadway show, students will feel a sense of pride and accomplishment as they reflect upon the hard work they put in to receive an invitation to Carnegie Hall as well as the work invested into the performance.

Expected Outcome(s)

There are 35 students attending this trip. Students will be exposed to a professional performance on Broadway that will inspire them to continue to reach their highest performance potential and open doors to careers in the performing arts.
