Goal

To purchase five new novel titles that are engaging for modern day and struggling readers.

What will be done with my students

The novels will be read in class. Students will be studying the novels, completing high level questions, assignments, and projects to go with the novels. Students will also be able to take AR tests on these novels. Since reading is that backbone of the Language Arts curriculum, having engaging literature is a high priority for this subject area.

Benefits to my students

Students will be able to gain fluency and a love for reading. They will be able to work on assignments that will help them develop and stregthen their critical thinking skills.

Budget Narrative

Four novels that will help boost interest and yet are high level enough to challenge readers. Each book was priced using Barnes and Noble and include a teacher discount.
