Goal

To ensure all students enrolled in mathematics courses with a State of Florida End of Course test will have daily access to an approved calculator.

What will be done with my students

Students will be taught the functions they will need for success in their course. Students will check out the calculator for use during the class period.

Benefits to my students

Calculators have different syntax requirements, keyboard arrangements and function capabilities. By providing students with daily interaction on the same calculator they will be using on the state EOC students will be comfortable with the technology and can focus on the content being tested rather than how to use the technology.

Many of my students do not have the means to purchase their own calculators or have calculators from siblings that are not approved for the state exam.

Budget Narrative

Thirty calculators at $12 each will result in a balance of $360. I have not included tax or shipping as I hope to order it through the school and avoid such costs.
