Goal

To enhance student's experience by providing color imaging for student projects to be documented, and to provide another research tool that can be utilized for student projects. 

 

What will be done with my students

Students will be able to photograph project images, email them to the art teacher, and the art teacher can print out a color image of the intended subject. This allows a student to visually work on a project, using an image they "own." An example of how this can enhance student work: I introduced a historical structure painting to students last fall, requiring students to take photos with their digital devices and email those photos to me for printing.  

 

Benefits to my students

Our current working printer is black and white. When students were painting their structures, they had to keep using their digital devices to access the color image. The benefit of color laser will be access to an accurately printed image. I would like to incorporate colorful projects that are based on historical importance, with the students being able to provide the researched images themselves, they would not be stepping on copyrighted images. Also, advanced students could scan their projects and make their own notecards or art business cards. 

 

Budget Narrative

This grant will allow students to access a color printer for accomplishing research and printing projects for two years. Bravo!
