Goal

My AP Biology courses require extensive laboratory equipment and supplies. To maintain the necessary materials needed to supplement our classroom learning requires a renewable supply of various supplies.

What will be done with my students

Students will participate in various labs to support our discussions in class. These labs or activities occur almost weekly throughout the year.

Benefits to my students

Students benefit by receiving hands-on, practical application by completing rigorous lab procedures. Increasing the opportunities for students to participate in lab based activities reinforces learned material and provides them an excellent opportunity to retain knowledge through application and analysis. These labs range from STEM based activities like biotechnology procedures to standard biological labs like analyzing rate of photosynthesis and cellular respiration.
