Nassau Education Foundation - $903.00
The goal for this project is to complement the 1:1 laptop program here at YHS, so students that take a music class can use a midi piano instrument for music composition, and music training, that directly goes in as usable performance data in the muisc classroom.
Each class will have access to a midi piano lab of 35 midi keyboards, that will give them a chance to create, perform, and practice their music in a variety of different software and Music Apps. Below are some examples.
Chorus- ear training and sight singing apps, that develop their internal pitch, reinforce music literacy
World Music- Music-making apps similar to Garage Band used to reproduce world music styles covered in class.
Music Technology- Music software used to reinforce keyboard skills, and music theory. Music making apps that allow for sound engineering, complete music production, and remixing
Band- ear training and sight singing apps, that develop their internal pitch, reinforce music literacy, and Apps for music composition.
