Goal

Our current Yulee Elementary School Television Production has not been updated in many years. Much of the equipment needs replacing and is breaking down. Our News Crew and Director hope to refurbish the news studio with some new equipment so that we can expand our current program. 

 

What will be done with my students

Morning announcements are a proven way to set the tone for the day and build morale and a sense of school community. Being a part of studio productions give students the chance to work as a team and create the morning announcements by learning different types of equipment while working with others. Through effective delivery of morning announcements, we want to share the school’s news, upcoming events and achievements throughout the year. 

 

Benefits to my students

There are many benefits for students involved in television production. It gives the students on the news crew more confidence to speak publicly. It expands their horizons in technology. It paves the way for later endeavors in Technology and Journalism. It increases their vocabulary to include studio/tech jargon. It provides an opportunity to include students in the inner workings of the school by allowing them to be a part of the dissemination of information to the rest of the school while encouraging students to creatively demonstrate what they have learned throughout the year. Being in front of the camera can at times be stressful. Students learn to support and encourage each other during these stressful times and to keep a positive attitude. The students realize that they are role models and that their behavior on and off the camera reflects the News Team.

These supplies are all from Amazon and should have free shipping due to our school's Prime Account.
