Goal

To have a device that allows us to communicate with parents and students who speak other languages within our community.

What will be done with my students

We often times have students that enroll in our school who either speak a different language or whose parents speak a different language. With the Pocket Talks, it would help all of the students, teachers, and parents that interact with the family and child who speak another language. It would allow us to speak into the device and translate for us. It would also allow the student to take pictures throughout campus, in the classroom, and in curriculum and translate it for them into their home language.

Benefits to my students

Not only would it help an ELL student feel comfortable communicating with the teachers and peers in the classroom, the Pocket Talk would allow our students to be introduced to another language as well.

Budget Narrative

The cost is for 4 Pocket Translators for our school plus the tax. This is based off of the price on Amazon.
