Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 108

We LOVE life science! Thanks to this grant, we have been able to purchase lots of items to help us explore and learn about the world around us! Our little hands and litlte minds are so curious and these tools have given us even more to explore! We love using the insect magnifiers and building our earthworm farm so we can explore little critters! We even have an experiment planned to find out if earthworms prefer wet or dry climates! We are most excited about the spring when we will be able to watch the life cycles of butterflies and ladybugs up close! We'll practice our writing by keeping scientific journals of the whole process. Thank you to the generous donations to help support this project. Not only will these supplies help our class learn, but some of the supplies will even help future classes as well. We have been so excited to use these items and we are anxiously awaiting for spring to arrive!

Original Grant Overview

Goal

Our goal is to provide our Kindergarten students with multiple opportunities to experience and observe Life Science.

What will be done with my students

Classes will observe the life cycles of butterflies and ladybugs, record behaviors of earthworms, plant seeds and watch them grow, and examine bugs and other insects using magnifiers.

Benefits to my students
