Impact to My Classroom

What an incredible difference these chairs have made. The student have always enjoyed center time, but found themselves getting restless when task last longer than 10 minutes. With the addition of these bouncy chairs and bouncy bands for their desk, 10 minutes doesn’t seem so long anymore. These chairs and bands have helped the kids stay focused longer each day.

The students will begin bouncing and before they realize how long they have been working, we are switching centers. I have actually had them plead to stay in their center working.

Thank you so much for those that donated. The kids are truly happy to have such a fun way to sit while learning.

Original Grant Overview

Goal

To obtain 5 stability balls for students to sit on. Allowing the students to have flexible seating to help get their wiggles out.

What will be done with my students

These seats will allow my students to be moving (bouncing up and down) while sitting. They can be used all year, and with proper upkeep, years to come.

Benefits to my students

My student will be able to sit in different centers around the room and yet move their legs. This is an incredible advantage for 7 and 8 year old children. Can you imagine how they feel after 3 hours of instructional classroom time? These chairs would allow them to feel stretch and feel as if they aren't stuck behind a desk.

I'm finding these chairs online anywhere from $125-135. I would like to obtain 3-4.
