Goal

My goal is to provide all students with a tri fold board for their mandatory Science Fair project. This will help all students have the same board regardless of demographic variables and household income.

What will be done with my students

Standard (SC.5.N.1.1): Define a problem, use appropriate reference materials to support scientific understanding, plan and carry out scientific investigations of various types such as: systematic observations, experiments requiring the identifications of variables, collecting and organizing data, interpreting data in charts, tables, and graphics, analyze information, make predictions, and defend conclusions. 

 

Benefits to my students

Having the funding for this project will guarantee that all students have the required materials to complete the state required project. It will guarantee that they have the right size board, that they all have the same board, and can start and complete the project according to timeline. Lastly, it will increase their excitement about the project instead of finding and purchasing boards being a deterrent and stress. 

 

Budget Narrative

We will be purchasing 5 class sets (24 pack) of 36 x 48 Science Fair Project Boards.
