Investors
Thank you to the following investors for funding this grant.
FUTURES Foundation - $500.00
Anonymous Family Foundation - $499.10
Goal
The goal is to provide students vpk-5th grade with the tools needed to THINK, PROCESS, CREATE, DESIGN, and PROBLEM-SOLVE. Establishing a maker space in the school’s media center will encourage all students to empathize, identify, build, analyze, and rebuild to enhance ideas and demonstrate progression.
Category
Learning Aids - Sunshine state book sets, robotics kits, puzzle boards, science models, engineering supplies, etc.
What will be done with my students
Students will have access to maker space activities during small groups in the media center and during independent or class Library visits. The Makerspace Learning Center will help build, create, and problem-solve. Students will use task cards or explore their interests at various STREAM centers. The work options will be listed for the students to choose from. They can take projects apart, build, or create their own invention using legos, circuits, batteries, and more! Items and tools used will range from recycled items, items/materials around the school, or even more expensive tools and maker space kits.
Benefits to my students
