Goal

This project aims to create an immersive and engaging learning environment in the French classroom by integrating interactive learning tools, modern educational resources and CULTURAL experiences.

This project "Voyage Voyage !" seeks to enhance students' language skills, proficiency in French and overall CULTURAL awareness, by providing them with authentic and interactive learning experiences.

It will engage students by making learning French more easy, effective and fun! Therefore, it will transform the French classroom into a dynamic and immersive environment that fosters language acquisition and cultural understanding.

Benefits to my students

By securing this grant, Spruce Creek Elementary School will provide students with the experiences they need to excel in French and develop a lifelong appreciation for language and culture. 

 

Budget Narrative

My French course offers a variety of activities including French lessons and related vocabulary, conversations, discussions, songs, stories, dances, karaoke, art projects, competitions and Culture visit to French-speaking countries that provides a real-world language practice using videos, made for kids and for schools, displayed on the board. By imagining that they are traveling to a French speaking country whenever they have "French" for special area, kids will need a passport to enter the French classroom. I will be keeping those passports in the French classroom in file folders and will pass them out at the door while they enter the classroom, then after using and stamping them students need to keep them in their chair pocket until the end of the period! The French classroom should create a travelling atmosphere so I would like to put a world map rug on the floor and hang flags on the outside ramp that leads to the classroom. Also, since the kids will be using their same passport during the school year, they have to keep it clean in their chair pocket. All of that will increase the student's proficiency, enhance the appreciation and the love of culture, increase student's engagement and participation in my French class and will be reflect in a higher attendance and eventually positive feedback. At the end of each period, I will stamp the passports and collect them until next time.
