Goal

To get fluorescent light coverings for our classroom to help with the sensory needs of our students.

What will be done with my students

SP.PK12.US.20.3 Identify and maintain behaviors that build positive relationships with peers and adults, including friendships, family relations, and cooperating with peers. By meeting their sensory needs, they will be able to self-manage their behaviors to a more positive relationship with others. 

 

Benefits to my students

With my students sensory needs being met, they will be able to focus on their learning, creating a more calming and functional environment for them. 

 

Budget Narrative

With the specific styles that are of high interest to our students, and the ability to cover all of the lights in our classroom, this will create a calming and more engaging environment for them. These light coverings are made with flame retardant material.
