Benefits to my students

Students at Starke Elementary do not have the luxury of new and abundant instruments. The woodblocks are cracked and chipped, the drums are falling apart and the egg shakers are spilling their beads. They have never been exposed to a color coded handbell system where each student works together with others to create and/or perform one melody. Classroom handbells would give them this opportunity and perhaps foster a love for music that would move them into the world of middle and high school band or chorus. I plan to use these handbells not only to teach benchmarks and standards, but also to showcase our students’ hard work at our end of the year Fine Arts night performance for friends and families.
