The whiteboard top encourages students to work together to solve problems and share their answers. While the kidney shape provides a dedicated space for activities and minimizes distractions.

What will be done with my students

This table is where Small group will be held. Small group instruction is important because it helps students learn in a variety of ways. Small groups help students feel more comfortable participating in class discussions and sharing their ideas. With the table being kidney shape; the proximity between teachers and students can help build strong relationships and foster better understanding.
This request will support multiple standards and subjects. including, but not limited to, MA.1.NSO.1.2(read and write numbers from 0-100 in standard form),
(compose and decompose three-digit MA.1.NSO.1.3 (compose and decompose numbers in multiple ways using tens and ones),
MA 1.FR.1.1(partitioning circles and rectangles into two and four equal sized parts).
ELA.1.R.3.1 ( I can identify and explain descriptive words and phrases in texts.)
Practicing sight words, CVC words, Vocabualry Words etc.
With the use of the white board and easy access it will allow students to work out their problems first hand with the teachers assistance due to the close proximity. The white board table allows for less materials to hand out as well, all they will need is a dry erase marker and eraser.  

 

Benefits to my students

This will benefit my students by giving them a versatile workspace. The write-on/wipe-off functionality makes the table ideal for brainstorming and paperless classrooms. The white board table will serve as a visual aid making learning engaging when working our problems, spelling words etc.
