What will be done with my students

The students will use the equipment provided to demonstrate knowledge and a mastery of skills during practical phases of the course curriculum. The specified course objectives are as follows:
08 Standard: Identify components of Criminal Investigations
08.01 Describe some careers available in criminal investigation
08.02 Identify evidence at a crime scene
08.03 Describe how to collect evidence at a crime scene
08.04 Demonstrate the skills for lifting latent prints
08.05 Participate in processing a mock crime scene

Benefits to my students

The students will first benefit from how their academic learning can be translated into real life situations. They will be able to experience some of the reality which surrounds two of the career clusters (Law Enforcement & Private Security). The students will be able to incorporate the third learning style of primary learning within the curriculum. Finally, the students can be given an alternative method of assessment for demonstrating competency and mastery of skills.
