Goal
I want to get books with accompanying CDs so students can have an immersive experience while learning to love to read.

What will be done with my students
ELA.1.R.2.2 Identify the topic of and relevant details of a text. Students can access a listening center, including a CD player and headphones, to listen to books. Students will complete an exit ticket identifying the topic and relevant details of the story they listen to.
Benefits to my students
Instilling a love ov reading comes in many forms. Many of our Title 1 students don't have access to books at home. Therefore, no one reads to them at home. Having a physical book as well as an accompanying CD will mimic them being read to. Students will also get more opportunities to show that they know what the topic and relevant details are.

I would like to purchase the above hardback books with accompanying CDs so my students will become more proficient at finding the topic and main details of stories.
