What will be done with my students
MU.912.S.3.5
Develop and demonstrate proper vocal or instrumental technique.
Students will be taught proper posture with instruments and proper music stand placement. This alone greatly effects how they will sound and ensures development of proper, healthy posture that will allow them to continue to perform for years after graduating. When stands do not maintain the proper position/height, the students cannot see their music or hold equipment in the correct position.
Benefits to my students
Students will have more space available in the Band room to effectively rehearse. This is especially noticeable during the Marching Band season when we get rained out and must stay inside.
The space is very limited so effective storage solutions are needed to maximize the space and allow for the students to move safely within the rehearsal space. This contributes to better quality performances for the school as well as the community of New Smyrna Beach and Volusia County. This also gives us the equipment we need as the band program numbers increase and we have more students.
