What will be done with my students
At Ormond Beach Elementary, we are committed to fostering emotional resilience and well-being among our students. As the school counselor, I play a vital role in delivering whole group lessons, small group interventions, and individualized support. With the help of this grant, we aim to enhance our resiliency programs by acquiring District-approved resources that are effective across different instructional settings.
Whole Group Lessons: During media time, I conduct lessons focused on building resiliency skills for all students. These sessions cover topics such as stress management, problem-solving, and emotional regulation.
Small Group Interventions: With parental permission, I pull small groups of students who need additional support. These sessions offer a more focused approach to developing coping strategies and emotional skills.
Individual Counseling: I provide one-on-one support for students who require more personalized attention. This can involve addressing specific challenges and working on individual goals for emotional growth.
Benefits to my students
By integrating these resources into our programs, we anticipate the following outcomes:
Increased Engagement: Enhanced materials will make lessons more engaging and relatable, leading to better student participation.
Improved Skill Development: Students will develop stronger resiliency skills, such as emotional regulation and problem-solving.
Enhanced Emotional Support: With better resources, I can provide more effective support to students in individual and small group settings.
In conclusion, the resources funded by this grant will significantly contribute to our mission of building emotional resilience at Ormond Beach Elementary. By equipping our programs with effective tools, we will be better positioned to support our students' emotional and psychological well-being, ultimately contributing to their overall academic and personal success.

Budget Narrative
These resources will be used to address Florida's new Resiliency standards in grade kindergarten - 5th. The resiliency standards are under Health Education HE.K-5.R
Upon receipt of the grant funds, we plan to order these district-approved resources from Amazon immediately. We have identified specific products that are known to enhance resiliency education, and we are prepared to place the order as soon as the funds are available. This ensures that we can start utilizing the resources without delay.
The new resources will be incorporated into our counseling programs as follows:
Whole Group Lessons: Resources will be used during our weekly media time sessions to provide engaging and interactive lessons for all students. This will help us deliver a consistent and effective resiliency curriculum across the school.
Small Group Sessions: The materials will support targeted interventions for small groups of students. We will use these resources to facilitate focused discussions and activities that address specific resiliency needs.
Individual Counseling: For one-on-one sessions, the new resources will provide tailored support to meet each student's unique needs. This will enhance the effectiveness of our individualized interventions.
