What will be done with my students

To encourage and reward strong attendance during the third and fourth quarters, we will implement an exciting incentive program where students can earn "Bear Bucks" for attending school regularly and being on time. Students will receive a weekly report showing how many Bear Bucks they have accumulated, allowing them to track their progress toward attending our highly anticipated attendance party.
At the end of each quarter, students who have consistently earned Bear Bucks will be invited to an attendance celebration. The party will feature a variety of fun activities, including:
- Movie Screening: Students can relax and enjoy a movie while using their Bear Bucks to purchase snacks from a concession stand stocked with popcorn, drinks, and treats.
- Bounce House: To add an element of physical fun, we will have a bounce house where students can jump and play.
- Candy Store: Students can enter our candy store and use their Bear Bucks to buy scoops of popular candies, adding a sweet reward for their attendance.
- Engagement Lab Transformation: We will turn our engagement lab into a music, dance, and game room. Students can enjoy music, play games, and participate in fun dance activities. The room will also feature a photo booth with props where students can take fun pictures to commemorate the event.

Benefits to my students

1. Increased Student Attendance: By providing tangible rewards and recognizing consistent attendance, we anticipate a noticeable increase in student attendance rates during the third and fourth quarters. The incentive of earning Bear Bucks and attending a fun party will encourage students to prioritize coming to school regularly and on time.

2. Enhanced Student Engagement: The promise of engaging activities such as a movie, bounce house, candy store, and music/dance/game room will boost student excitement and engagement. This increased enthusiasm for school and learning will contribute to a more positive and vibrant classroom environment.

3. Improved Understanding of Responsibility: Through the Bear Bucks system, students will learn about the value of consistent attendance and how their efforts translate into rewards. This understanding will foster a sense of responsibility and goal-setting, as students track their progress and work towards earning their rewards.

4. Strengthened School Community: The attendance party will create a sense of community and celebration among students. By recognizing and rewarding their efforts, students will feel a stronger connection to their school, which can contribute to a more supportive and collaborative learning environment.

5. Positive Behavior Reinforcement: Regular attendance will be associated with positive behavior and achievements, reinforcing the importance of being present and engaged in school. The rewards and recognition will help establish a culture where attendance is valued and celebrated.
Overall, the program aims to not only improve attendance but also enhance student motivation and create a more enjoyable and supportive school experience.
