Walton Education Foundation

The goal of the Biology magnet purchase is to provide an additional support mechanism for struggling students. These magnets will be used to introduce the objective, model the objective, and allow students to manipulate the magnets so that the objective is mastered.

The scanner would be utilized for virtual learners as well as the brick and mortar students that have lost their work and can utilize technology via Microsoft Teams or through the Shared folder to print out the lost or missed work.

What will be done with my students

The students will be able to model with the magnets processes within Biology. Students will be able to tutor other students using the magnets and students will be able to model understanding while explaining to me the process.

We are constantly scanning documents to upload to the shared drive as well as Microsoft Teams. My scanner is from 1993 and it scans very light and students are not able to see the documents. The new and updated scanner would greatly impact all students as well as increase the time I use for planning rather than scanning and re-scanning documents all the time.
