What will be done with my students

During the 2020-2021 school year, 67 students will be involved in STEAM Train through submissions, public relations, advertising, editing, and publication of the magazine. Six (6) teachers will be impacted as well. Fifty (50) students are expected to be added to the school’s enrollment for the 2021-22 school year.
 October – The English teacher helps students create calls for submissions for STEAM Train, and identifies and delegates students for public relations, advertising, editing, art/design, and publication of the magazine.
 November 1 – Calls for Submission for STEAM Train officially go out in print and online form. May 1 will be the official deadline for submissions.
 November 1 – May 1 – Students work on their STEAM Train submissions. The English teacher helps students who have been identified for public relations, advertising, art/design, and publication areas learn and practice new skills.
 May 1 – Submissions are officially due for STEAM Train.
 May 3 – May 12 – Students on the editorial board of STEAM Train choose submissions and make the requisite final edits. Students in the art/design area make final decisions before sending materials to students in the publication area. Students in the publication area of STEAM Train print the magazine’s cover and submissions.
 May 17 – May 20 – Students in the publication area of STEAM Train finish the creation of the magazine by utilizing binding machines.
 May 24 – The inaugural edition of STEAM Train is officially released in print. Students working in the online publication area complete the online release of STEAM Train. Students working in public relations and advertising build recognition, awareness, and publicity of STEAM Train.
