My students have loved this stools. They are able to play and move at the table without pushing chairs back. My students are always wiggling on them as they are working. I love that they are able to build core muscles and get these wiggles out at the same time. Thank you so much for making our classroom more fun!

Original Grant Overview

Goal

My goal is to have flexible seating for my Pre-K students to help improve their overall attention and focus.

What will be done with my students

I will use flexible seating with my ESE and regular ed Pre-K students to help improve their overall attention and focus while working in centers or in small groups. Being able to use the wobble chairs will allow the movement needed for little learners to move freely and focus at the same time.

Benefits to my students

Many of my students have sensory and attention needs. One way to meet the sensory needs of our students, so that they may be able to focus better, is through movement. Wobble stools will allow this movement during any activity requiring them to sit at a table and the rockers will encourage my little learners to focus during whole group learning or while visiting the library. The use of wobble stools/rockers will help replace inappropriate/distracting fidgeting that otherwise interferes with their own learning as well as the learning of others. Since children develop skills through movement, wobble stools and rockers are the answer!
