Goal

Our goal is to be awarded this grant to purchase Smart Class Hub, a supplement for the language lab. Smart Class Hub (SCH) will enhance students target language skills. SCH can significantly increase speaking fluency, reading, and listening for all students. SCH activities will also monitor students progress in class and at home.
Therefore, students will be able to reflect on their learning, progress, and build confidence. Further benefits of using SCH also includes, teacher opportunity to give all students different level activities without student feeling embarrassed or nervous when speaking or answering in the target language.
In conclusion, SCH will create a positive and productive environment while learning and practicing target language at a students own pace. 

 

What will be done with my students

If granted Smart Class Hub, teachers will implement SCH two to three times a week during language lab time. Once a week at home for home assignments. Students will use SCH to practice and demonstrate the effectiveness of a concept and move to the next level. SCH may also be used for virtual classes if needed. 

 

Benefits to my students

At this time, there are 60 students in Beginning Spanish and levels I-II, that would benefit from Smart Class Hub in the classroom and at home.
Smart Class Hub, will be used throughout the year. By the end of the school year 80% of the students in Beginner Spanish and Levels I-II will demonstrate proficiency and confidence in the target language.  

 

Budget Narrative

We would like to purchase Smart Class Hub Cloud 200-499, Smart Class ESP SUB-1 for 60 students, EX Online Onboarding 1H x2, and Robotel Academy.
