Goal

To drive instruction utilizing technology as a tool for mastery of second grade standards while enhancing the learning process within the classroom setting.
 

 

What will be done with my students

10.2 inch, 64 GB tablets will replace outdated mini iPads which allow only a 12.5 software update which does not support the use of current district approved applications. The iPads will be utilized daily by students in a small group and/or independent setting. The upgraded iPads will serve as a tool to access district approved technology applications. The devices will target individualized academic needs with advanced technology. Students will have the ability to access district purchased or approved programs such as My Path (Reading and Math), CPalms, and others to foster individual learning gains.
Our class will greatly benefit from updated, advanced technology in the classroom. We will also be able to access teacher designated, standard based assignments to promote individual growth for each student.
 

 

Benefits to my students

The requested technology will allow students access to updated and advanced technology throughout the day for all subject areas of instruction with an emphasis on literacy.
Because of the individualized nature of the district purchased or approved programs such as My Path, Renaissance Place (Accelerated Reader assessments for reading comprehension) research based learning projects, etc., all students will benefit from increased access to upgraded technology. The ultimate goal is to reach a 1:1 updated, student/portable technology ratio.

(4) Apple 10.2 inch iPad Wifi tablet, 64 GB
The total cost, as listed on the Walton County School District Device List 2022-2023, for (4) 10.2 inch, 64 GB iPads amounts to $1432.00
