Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 450

First off, we would like to extend a huge thank you to those who fulfilled this grant.  The impact that people like you make on these students is amazing.  This grant was geared towards the lower grade levels at our school.  We decided to utilize these fishing sets to enahnce their fine motor skills.  It also allowed us to integrate the surrounding fishing that takes place in our local waters.  We designed a game where all of the students were split into teams around the gym.  Each team had a rod and a cooler (hula hoop) next to them.  They went one at a time to catch a fish from the "water" and bring it back to their "cooler".  We also were able to get a few cones in the gym.  These are used everyday in a variety of ways like creating a track to run or a base for a game.
