Goal

Create a classroom environment and provide opportunity that will enhance the focus and attention of my students so that they may perform more successfully.

Category

School supplies - Markers, paints, paper, crayons, clay, pencils, sharpies, modeling dough, etc.

What will be done with my students

Upon approval of this grant, I plan to add more manipulatives and tools DAILY to increase student attention and improve performance for years to come. They will use the classroom fidgets and wobble seats as movement outlets that decrease disruptions while keeping them actively working. The math and reading manipulative will give them different strategies to implement when understanding daily lessons and completing assignments. And the headphones and whisper phone will be used to accommodate their individual exceptional needs.

Benefits to my students

I service 20 ESE students in the 3rd and 4th grade. The current educational level of my students range from kindergarten to 2nd grade. If given approval of this grant, I will use these tools daily in my classroom. They will be able break down difficult general education classroom information and instructions and gain an better understanding of what is to be expected and how to respond to their assigned tasks. I will integrate multiple strategies they can use to become more successful in ELA and math. I also service students with social/emotional goals. Using the provided tools, my hope is to help them gain confidence within themselves to attempt or complete grade level assignments without giving up or shutting down.

Budget Narrative

These funds will be used to incorporate learning activities into my curriculum for ESE students. They will provide different strategies for students to be successful.
