Goal

The goal is to provide hands-on projects to connect our Science, Math, and English Language Arts curriculums to real world applications.

Category

Learning Aids - Sunshine state book sets, robotics kits, puzzle boards, science models, engineering supplies, etc.

What will be done with my students

We will construct Solar Powered Robots and Solar System Replicas which will provide practical experience and education with solar energy and technology. The students will learn about renewable sources of energy and their origin while having fun!

Benefits to my students

Research on STEM activities reports that providing opportunities for students to engineer physical projects develops manual dexterity and problem solving skills. Creating projects like these improve their logical thinking processes as well as their self-confidence. Collaboration opportunities will promote teamwork among students. Providing an opportunity to build robots and replicas will enhance student skills in science, technology, engineering, and math, as well as language arts.
