Pickleball has taken our community by storm. This sport is causing a lot of buzz from the students. Our students always hear and see the pickleball courts full across the street at the sports complex. The excitement coming from the courts has peaked the kids interest to say the least. Incorporating something new is a great way to energize a program and teach new skills. Parents who play pickleball would be thrilled to know their kids are learning the game they love!

Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 925

The students at DLE have thoroughly enjoyed using the pickleball equipment.  It has provided another sport that has peaked the interest of numerous students.  Our students have enhanced their hand eye coordination and really enjoyed the competiveness that this activity provides.  Pickleball has also been a great addition for our ese students as well.  A few of those students have excelled in this new sport. The plan is to continue to implement indoor and outdoor pickleball games to expose as many students to the game as we can.  We can't express enough the gratitude and appreciation for granting us the funds for this.  Please know that this grant is making a difference and will be utilized for years to come.
