Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 915

The grant funding allowed for the purchase of updated and diverse physical education equipment, which had a direct and measurable impact on student learning outcomes. With increased access to high-quality and developmentally appropriate equipment, all students were able to participate more consistently and actively in lessons. This led to noticeable improvements in motor skill development, including coordination, balance, and object control skills such as throwing and catching.

Student engagement increased significantly as the new equipment introduced variety and excitement into the curriculum. As a result, students spent more time on-task and demonstrated greater effort and persistence during activities. This increase in active participation contributed to improved physical fitness levels, including cardiovascular endurance and muscular strength.

The new equipment also supported differentiated instruction, allowing lessons to be tailored to meet the needs of students at varying skill levels. Students who previously struggled were able to build confidence and achieve success, while more advanced students were appropriately challenged. This contributed to higher overall achievement of physical education standards across grade levels.

Additionally, the grant made it possible to incorporate more inclusive and adaptive activities, ensuring that all students, regardless of ability, could meaningfully engage and meet learning objectives. Social-emotional learning outcomes also improved, as students demonstrated stronger teamwork, communication, and cooperation during group activities.

Overall, the grant transformed the physical education environment by aligning resources with instructional goals, resulting in improved student performance, increased engagement, and the development of lifelong skills related to health and fitness.

Thank you so much for making an impact on our department and the children we serve.
