Impact to My Classroom

My goal this 2017-2018 school year was to have every student have a pair of headphones in my class while working on their computer at the same time. In the past, I did not have enough for the entire class. This grant allowed my students to take their Reading Counts, i-Ready, and SRI tests at the same time. By having these new headphones, it increased the classroom learning time for my students. They also can concentrate for a longer period of time without any distractions. My students no longer have to wait for an available computer with headphones. A majority of my students i-Ready and SRI scores increased because of the extra headphones. This provided more time to learn. I am so proud of the progress my students have made so far and I am grateful for the generous funds I have received for my class.

Original Grant Overview

Goal(s)

To have students use the Headphones while they are on the i-Pads without a distraction of sound.

Project Description

The students can use the Headphones to listen without a distraction to others by having access to sound based on the programs that they are using. Example: SRI, i-Ready, Tumble Books, etc.

Expected Outcomes

Students can hear the sound of what they are using the i-Pads for. Many of our students rely on sound because they ELL students.

Purpose of Funding

This budget includes 38 Headphones at $2.59.
