Buzz!  Blink!  Wow! The impact of Squishy Circuits in the classroom was electrifying!

What happens when you have 20 curious second grade scientists given the opportunity to create, design, invent and problem solve?  An absolutely amazing learning opportunity takes place.   In this exciting class, the students were introduced to the concept of electricity and how it impacts our lives. The students watched demonstrations of a single circuit and a short circuit using the Squishy Circuits.  These were new vocabulary terms for the students and the demonstration made the words easy to understand and memorable.  The students were also introduced to the various parts of the Squishy Circuit kit and the role each part plays in the transfer of electricity.

The learning accelerated when the students had the opportunity to design their Squishy Circuits.  It was an amazing class, and so much fun to watch them create an electrical circuit with a design. 

The Squishy Circuits will continue to be used in the second and fourth grade classrooms at our school.   The entire school will also have the opportunity to learn about electricity using Squishy Circuits at our Family STEAM Night.
