Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 12

The use of this grant has impacted students beyond my classroom. I utilized the buzzers during our schools winter fest event. I hosted a table game called "Beat the Parents, 3D shapes building". The buzzers where used to signal when they finished building their shape. I then used it in cooperation with my POD mate to have our students paractice and compete against eachother. The use of the buzzers has increased participation and retention. 

 

The use of the doorbell has been for classroom attention as well as celebrations. The different tones allow me to change it up and gives the students a focal point. This has reduced off task behavior and incresed transition response.

Original Grant Overview

Goal(s)

To have a system that obtains the entire classes attention in a non threatening manner. 

 

Project Description

The doorbell would be used to get the students attention, transition from activities and celebrate successes. 

 

Expected Outcomes

Student would have a audible device that can be clearly heard throughout the classroom, allowing time for response. Small groups can have friendly competition using buzzers. 

 

Purpose of Funding

The door bell is chargeable and waterproof. this would reduce the need for replacement due to damage. The buzzers are durable and made for children. Both prices are based on Amazon current pricing.
