Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 500

Thank you so much for your generous contribution to Village Oaks Elementary School, for $405.00. We extend our gratitude for your continued support of the Art & Instructional Resource funding through your grant making activity.

This grant was used to purchase BrainPop and introduce all students to the Elements of Art. Students moved through a well-rounded online lesson about each of the elements of art where they interacted with virtual field trips, collaborative sharing boards, drawing and quizzes about the subject. I am delighted to say that I am so happy to have 100% engagement and the student’s enjoying success.

Thanks Again,

Original Grant Overview

Goal

To provide challenging 21st century student friendly engaging instruction that will enhance and deepen students’ knowledge in my Art, Technology, and after school literacy classroom lessons.

What will be done with my students

The application of the “Brainpop” learning program will provide students access to a robust array of informational animated videos that align with our school district’s strong literacy instruction, together with quizzes and related materials, covering the subjects of science, social studies, English, math, engineering, technology, health, arts, and music.

Benefits to my students

Finally, my goal is to utilize the Brainpop educational platform tool to help students think collaboratively, and practice their social/emotional discussion skills. In-turn this will allow me to create individual instruction that builds, supports, and provides academic feedback to help my students build confidence and experience the intrinsic feeling of success!
