My students were so excited to utilize this fun, interactive vocabulary program all year.  Each week, during our reading block, we listened to an energetic song about a specific learning standard (such as main idea, text features, or point of view).  Students were encouraged to get up to move and dance. This helped to engage my students and get excited for the week.  I was able to send my students a link to the program for their own computer to practice this skill with flash cards, complete a reading passage with questions, and try the lyrics lab where they could make their own song about the reading standard.  We finished the week with a collaborative game together.  This program helped my students connect to our weekly lesson and build mastery skills as we prepared for the FSA (Florida State Assessment).  This program also increased my students’ vocabulary skills during quarterly iReady diagnostic assessments.
