Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 17

My students were able to utilize this fun, interactive program all year.  Each week, during our Science or Reading block, our class went on this program to practice example test questions based on our area of study.  Students were excited to compete individually or on teams.  They earned virtual trophies and I took their pictures on the virtual podium to share with families.  If a student was absent I could easily send them the link to try at home individually as a way to still review for the upcoming assessment which parents appreciated as well. Kahoot offers fun graphics, avatars, and music. I could design my own review game or search for pre-made games from other teachers.  Kahoot can be used for virtually any subject. This program helped my students prepare for weekly assessments and FAST Progress Monitoring in a fun, interactive way. Thank you for helping to support our classroom.  You helped make the difference in the lives of 17 wonderful students and a very grateful third grade teacher.

Goal

By utilizing the Kahoot! online program, students will be engaged in their learning for an increase in academic success. 

 

What will be done with my students

Kahoot! is a game-based platform that makes it easy to engage and motivate students. I will create games, quizzes, polls, and puzzles for various content areas in an entertaining and appealing way. My students will work individually or collaborate in teams to increase learning, participation, and have fun. I will be able to personalize their learning and view data reports to analyze my student data and progress throughout the school year.  

 

Benefits to my students

Kahoot! focuses on improving learning outcomes by boosting participation, engagement, and motivation through competitive, game-based learning experiences. This program helps students build confidence and retain information. All students are able to participate in a safe environment with a variety of question formats to reach all learning styles.
