Thank you.

Your generous donation has allowed over 700 students to safely conduct experiments with solutions.   This provides an invaluable learning experiences. Most recently, the physical science students at Lely High School participated in a flame test laboratory experiment. This laboratory required the use of laboratory aprons, which thanks to Champions for Learning, we were able to provide. We successfully conducted the experiment. This would not have been possible without these aprons. Thank you, A Champion For Learning.

Students are provided with OSHA and CFR compliant splash hazard goggles in order to participate in hands on laboratory investigations and explanations.

Project Description

Students will be able to safely participate in laboratory investigations wearing Code of Federal Regulation compliant splash hazard goggles. These investigations are a critical part of our science curriculum and provide a rich learning environment for each benchmark.  

 

Expected Outcomes

Students gain a better understanding of scientific concepts through hands-on experimentation and investigations, which are made possible by having the appropriate personal protective equipment.  

 

Purpose of Funding

60 splash hazard goggles (ANZ87.1) from Amazon at a cost of $8.99 each.
