To reduce sensory related disruptions by 25% as measured by teacher observations and data collection. To increase on-task behavior and instructional engagement among students using sensory tools, allowing our students with special needs to receive movement as a sensory regulator increases their ability to sit for educational instruction. Our teachers will understand how to use these tools to effectively to help their students identify and integrate sensory input into classroom routines.
By equipping classrooms with sensory tools, the project directly supports educational access and equity. Students will gain the ability to self-regulate, engage more fully with instruction and decrease off task behavior. Sensory tools are small investments with a significant impact: calmer classrooms and greater opportunities for learning success.
